What To Expect

First Massage ever? No Problem!

Here’s what’s about to go down. Upon arrival for your first Bodinuity session, you will fill out a Welcome document citing reason for visit, health history, and informed consent.

From there a brief discussion about current state of mind and body goals, if any. Next, the two of you will discuss any sensitivities on your body today, any places to avoid, amount of pressure desired, and if you will start face up (supine) or face down (prone).

Therapist will leave the room while client undresses to their comfort level (no clothes = normal, underwear on = normal. If wanting to leave more clothes on, please discuss with your Therapist and we are sure it can be accommodated). You will be draped by a sheet at all times.

During the session it is your discretion to talk, or not, or zone into the feelings.

Bodinuity suggests that very successful sessions occur when client is practicing full awareness. Bodinuity states that healing occurs with what is right for the individual and can change day to day, session to session. When the session is over, take your time getting up from the table and getting dressed. Be mindful if you are dizzy or lightheaded. Your therapist will meet you outside your door with a glass of water.

At Bodinuity LLC, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is performed as an individual treatment, or can be combined with Massage, Cupping, Aromatherapy, and Reflexology. Skin to Skin contact is best for treatment however can be performed clothed or through your prescribed compression gear, post-surgery.

Before AND After a session, drink plenty of Water to decrease detoxification symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, nausea, muscle pain, anxiety, headaches. The 2nd BEST thing you can do for yourself is to plan to Be Active after the session. Not your hardest workout ever, but the more you move post treatment, the longer your lymphatic system will have the “muscle memory” of functionality and ease of flow.

Feel free to Call Kaitlin if you have any questions before or after your session!
